The Work of Bhavani CDC

The Learning Programme at Bhavani CDC is an integrated educational approach linking development and academics with an approach that is
Structured - so reading and spelling make sense
Cumulative - to help build up skills gradually
Multi - sensory - using sight, sound and touch
Thorough - repeated learning to compensate for weak memory.
Active - to make it interesting
  Useful - related to schoolwork
Bhavani CDC has a full time school session comprising 3 sections:
Toddlers section (age 2 to 6)
Primary section: (age 7 to 14)
Senior section: (age 14 and above)
In the senior section even as we work with students who are seeking to complete their schooling, we jointly explore future career options with them and their parents.

We use the following tools to facilitate our work:

Brain Gym
Discovery sessions
Art and craft
Reading and discussion.
Play
Capacity building is an important aspect of our work with teachers and teachers are trained to respond sensitively and constructively to the needs of the children.
